‘’This Is Us’’: Season 2 Finale Recap

Spoiler Alert: This article contains spoilers of ‘’This Is Us’’ Season 2 Finale ‘’The Wedding’’ which appeared on NBC last night.

Well, the couple did it.

After a rocky relationship which sometimes seemed as if it was going to collapse, a miscarriage, a heart attack, and a frustrating bachelor/bachelorette weekend, Toby and Kate have finally made it down the aisle.

This season finale of NBC hit ‘’This Is Us’’ seemed like a whirlwind to us, one which demonstrated the best and worst this family drama had to offer. On the upside, the acting was beautiful in the drama, and it was so emotional that it nearly reduced us to tears.

On the downside, it appeared to us that things were deliberately kept away from the audience so as to continue the suspense till the last episode. Having said that, the episode was wonderful, one that told us why we loved this family drama.

A Huge Sigh of Relief

To be honest Kate, you definitely had us worried.

For what seemed to be like an eternity in the final episode, it seemed to the audience that Kate was on the verge of leaving everything behind, leaving Toby at the aisle. Things became more heated when Kevin, Kate, and Randall were unable to find Jack’s T-shirt at the Pearson cabin, the bight before the wedding ceremony.

On the wedding morning, Kate went out of the home having told no one about she was planning to go. It led Kevin, Randall, and Rebecca to worry that she has changed her mind about the wedding, and was running away.

Thankfully, Kate calls Rebecca to tell her about the dreams in which she was seeing an alternate future, one in which Jack was alive and Toby was nowhere to be seen.

Eventually, she located the three where Jack and she used to sit so that she could scatter the remainder of his ashes, explaining that it was her way of making a space in her heart for Toby.

To be fair to Kate, she wasn’t the only one freaking out, as her future husband Toby was having his share of problems. He was told by his parents on wedding morning that Kate was ‘’unstable’’ and prone to going back into depression. Fortunately, Toby defended his love for Kate, and this forced his parents to back off.

Deja Going Mad

While most of the Pearson clan had a great day at the wedding, Deja did not. As we learned last week, her mother has abandoned Deja and now Randall and Beth are her foster parents. Infuriated at everything that is going around her, Deja lashed out at her foster family in the finale.

And she makes her anger heard. After the mother of Toby compliments Deja for looking like Randall, she took a baseball bat and smashed the windshield of Randall’s car.

Glimpses of Future

So, now that Toby and Kate are married, everything’s fine, right?

Wrong. For this is ‘’This Is Us’’.

In the fleeting episodes of the finale, Kevin is shown on a plane to Vietnam, and sitting alongside him on the next seat is Beth’s cousin, Zoey, with both of them cuddling.

In the second scene, we’re shown that Kate is under the sheets, her room is dark and she is telling Toby that she has spoken with the doctor to adjust her medication. It means that the prediction of Toby’s parents, who warned him about her depression, has turned out to be right.

Stephen Hawking Dies Aged 76

The world-renowned physicist, despite suffering from a rare disease which left him bound to a wheelchair at the age of 22, was also a best-selling author of numerous books.

Stephen W. Hawking, the best-selling author and Cambridge University physicist who pondered on the secrets of the cosmos from his wheelchair, has died on Wednesday at his family home in Cambridge, England. He was 76.

The British scientist was renowned for his theories explaining black holes and relativity, and was an author of several best-selling science books, including ‘’A Brief History of Time’’.

What is remarkable about his life, in addition to the ground-breaking discoveries that he made, was his endurance to tackle one of the greatest hardships which life could throw at a person.

At the age of 22, when he was still a graduate student, Hawking learned that he had amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, a rare neuromuscular wasting disease. The doctors at that time only gave him a few more years to live.

While the disease enveloped his whole body – he couldn’t flex a finger or move his eyelid on his own – his mental faculties were left untouched.

Making the most of what he had, Stephen Hawking became the greatest scientist since Albert Einstein as he explored gravity and the characteristics of black holes.

During his study, in the closing stages of 1973, Hawking made a discovery which stunned the world: black holes were not black. In fact, as Hawking told us, Black holes, after leaking radiations and particles, would eventually fizzle out and vanish over the eons.

That calculation was so stunning that scientists to this day hail it as the first great achievement in the struggle of mankind to find a single theory which explains nature.

Afterward, he worked with British mathematician Sir Roger Penrose to explain that the hidden meaning of Einstein’s general theory of relativity. The theory, as their research would go on to tell, implied that that space and time started with the Big Bang and would end with the Black holes.

While he was already endearing to the academic community, what made Stephen Hawking famous worldwide was his book ‘’A Brief History of Time’’. As he wrote in the preface of the updated edition of the book, ‘’A Brief History of Time’’ is the 2nd most sold book in history, after Bible.

Once he started to get fame outside the academic world, Stephen Hawking appeared in several TV shows including Red Dwarf, The Big Bang Theory, and The Simpsons. He was also portrayed in both film and TV – with the recent adaptation coming from Oscar-winning actor Eddie Redmayne.

‘’Vampire Diaries” Star Nina Dobrev to Lead CBS Comedy Plot ‘’Fam”

Provided ‘Fam’ turns into a drama series, it would be the first time since ‘’The Vampire Diaries’’ that Dobrev would be playing a regular role on the TV screen.

Remember Elena from ‘’The Vampire Diaries’’, the girl who played the leading role in the first six seasons of the horror drama series? Well, she’s going to make her return to the small screen to topline the CBS Comedy script ‘’Fam’’.

‘’Fam’’ revolves around a woman who dreams of starting a new life with her fiancé in their new uptown home. The twist comes when the woman’s younger sister comes to live in her home to escape the brutalities of their father.

In the drama, Dobrev is going to play the role of Clem, the elder sister who has managed to get her life back on track. She’s shown as a charmer who is extremely happy that Jay, the love of her life, is going to marry her.

In a bid to put her past demons behind her, Clem claims that her estranged father, Freddy Banks, is no more, though he is alive and making life hell for her half-sister, Shannon.

To escape her father, Shannon (Odessa Adlon) shows up unexpectedly one day at Clem’s house. Her arrival means that Clem’s lie to Jay is about to become painfully obvious, putting their relationship in a jeopardy.

Apart from Dobrev and Adlon, the cast of ‘’Fam’’ includes Brian Stokes Mitchell who is playing the role of Jay’s father, Sheryl Lee Ralph as the mother of Jay, and Freddy Banks as Elena’s estranged father. Corinne Kingsbury has penned the script of the drama.

After playing the lead role in ‘’The Vampire Diaries’’ for six straight seasons, Dobrev left the small screen to focus on feature films. Over the years, she has starred in various movies including, XXX: Return of Xander Cage, the sequel of ‘’Flatliners’’, and in the Indie comedy ‘’Crashpad’’ alongside Domnhall Gleeson and Christina Applegate.

Her upcoming projects include ‘’Dog Days’’ which is yet another indie comedy, ‘’Lucky Day’’, and Departures’’.

Sherlock Holmes 3 Is On the Cards: Robert Downey Jr.

After the debacle which was the Sherlock Holmes 2, fans of the detective film would be hoping that the third part would be better.

It’s only a matter of time before the Sherlock Holmes 3 hit cinemas worldwide, Robert Downey Jr. has told Entertainment Weekly in an interview.

The Iron Man star was asked by the magazine what is on his plate after the two upcoming Marvel blockbusters – “Avengers: Infinity War” and “Avengers 4”. The always in-demand movie star replied to this question by pointing to a busy itinerary.

“First of all the missus is front and center with Joe Roth producing Doolittle,” said Downey about Universal Studio’s ‘’The Voyage of Doctor Doolittle’’.

“Then there’s all this stuff down the pike,” Downey added. “We’re looking at another Sherlock Holmes, we’re developing Perry Mason for HBO. I still want to do Pinocchio.”

This is the first time that we’ve heard from Downey talking about the Sherlock Holmes series since the last installment of the movie, Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows, was released in 2011.

In that sequel, Holmes traveled to Austria with his pal Dr. Watson to solve the mystery murder of Austria’s crown prince. The movie ended with quite a cliffhanger, as the whereabouts of Holmes were unknown. It means that the Sherlock Homes 3 would have plenty to build on.

History of Sherlock Homes Series

Sherlock Homes has earned an entry into the Guinness Book of Records for the most frequently played literary character in the history of movies. Over the years, more than 200 films have been made on the novel, with 70 actors playing the role of Sherlock Holmes.

The novel, which is based on around 60 stores, portrays different avatars of Sherlock Holmes. Apart from showing him as a bare-knuckle fighter and a swordsman, it also shows him a bromantic action hero. Sherlock is also shown as a master of disguise as he impersonates everything from a plumber, bookseller, and a priest, to a groom, a seaman, and even a woman.

In addition to Holmes, there is another important character in the movie, Dr. Watson, with whom Sherlock shares a bromance.The major duty of the Dr. in the movie is to carry out autopsies of the dead bodies to give Sherlock the extra edge that he craves to solve mystery riddles.

Finally, while Robert Downey Jr. has confirmed the return of Sherlock Holmes 3, he hasn’t mentioned any return date of the movie. It means that we might expect the film to come out either in late 2019 or early 2020.

Khary Payton, who plays the role of King Ezekiel in ”The Walking Dead” has come out in support of her co-star Lauren Cohan’s stance that she should earn as much as other male actors in the zombie drama series.

Cohan, who has been with the show since Season 2, has been renegotiating her contract with AMC for months after rejecting the ‘modest’ pay raise which she was offered during Season 7 of ‘’The Walking Dead’’.

The dispute started last year when Cohan, who is now one of the most in-demand actresses in Hollywood, indicated her desire to be paid on par with Andrew Lincoln and Norman Reedus, the show’s lead male actors.

Apart from the current row over his salary negotiations, another thing which makes the future of Payton in ‘’The Walking Dead’’ uncertain is her duties elsewhere. For, she would soon be playing the role of a CIA agent in the ‘’Whiskey Cavalier’’, an ABC drama series.

Amid so much uncertainty regarding her future in the hit zombie series, it was Khary Payton, who plays the role of King Ezekiel in ‘’The Walking Dead’’, who supported her co-star’s stance with a cryptic, three-word message of ‘’Pay the woman’’ on his Instagram account.

Cohen’s role in Whiskey Cavalier

It was only last month that ABC announced that Lauren Cohan would be playing a lead role in the ABC drama series titled ‘’Whiskey Cavalier’’. The drama is described as a high-octane series which follows the adventures of a tough FBI super-agent Will Chase who is assigned to work with his CIA counterpart Francesca Frankie following an emotional breakup.

Together, both the agents lead an agency of heroic but flawed spies who not only save the world but also navigate the perplexing roads of romance, friendship, and office politics.

Scott Foley would play the role of Code Chase whereas Cohan would play Frankie, the cunning, quick, and impulsive CIA operative who finds that she has to protect the same target as Chase. In the process, the two of them come to know each other secrets before falling in love.

Apart from playing the lead role, Foley would also be producing the ‘’Whiskey Cavalier’’

Twenty four years after the suspicious murders of Ron Goldman and Nicole Brown, the mystery now seems to be over once and for all.

In a stunning interview to author Judith Rogan on Fox News, O.J. Simpson has ‘’hypothetically’’ confessed that he murdered both Ron Goldman and Nicole Brown on that fateful night of June 12, 1994.

Fox News aired ‘’O.J. Simpson: The Lost Confession?’’ on Sunday night in which Simpson was supposed to clear the air, and present his viewpoint on what happened THAT night.

The show was shot in 2006, and the conversation surrounding the dual-murder was supposed to be a ‘’hypothetical’’ explanation of how O.J could have murdered his wife Nicole Brown with her friend Rob Goldman – a crime which the court said O.J. didn’t commit before acquitting him in 1995.

During the trial, O.J. never testified about his perspective on murders and who would have carried them out. However, in ‘’The Lost Confession’’, not only did he offer his perspective but O.J. literally took Rogan by the arm to walk him through the murder.

‘’The Confession’’

O.J starts the show by talking about his friend ‘’Charlie’’, who, for the reason O.J. didn’t mention in the interview, went to Nicole’s to snoop on her life. Afterward, Charlie came back to Simpson and told him what was going on in his ex-wife’s home, to which O.J. replied that ‘’it’s gotta stop’’.

From here on, O.J. takes is on a hypothetical journey, one on which he alongside Charlie went to Nicole’s home with gloves, a cap, and a knife under their car seat.

After parking the car in the alley, Simpson says he confronted Ron Goldman, asking him the reason to be on Nicole’s property.

In reply, Ron stated that he was at the restaurant where Nicole had a dinner and that he came to Nicole’s property to return the sunglasses which her mom had left behind at the restaurant.

Simpson says that it was at this time that he got angry at Ron – thinking that he was dating Simpson’s ex-wife – and started to scream at him. Hearing the voices, Nicole came out and told O.J. to ‘’get the f**k off her property’’, after which Simpson says Nicole fell and fatally hurt herself.

That’s where the confession comes … Losing the sense that he was on reality TV, Simpson started talking in the first person. He says Ronald Goldman got in a karate stance, to which O.J. said that that he remembered ‘’grabbing his knife’’

Now, It was at this moment that O.J. realized that he was on TV, so he fell silent, and started to laugh on the set to show that he had simply gone off-track.

What’s more, he also acknowledges on the show that he dropped a glove on Nicole’s property. And if you have followed his case, you might recall that police followed a glove on the actual crime scene as well.

Case closed.

Experts have warned that a flu virus, which the world hasn’t seen in ages, is probably overdue and that it could be more deadly than anthrax or smallpox diseases.

Thought flu season was past us? Think again.

A top scientist has claimed that an impending flu pandemic has the ability to cause 33million deaths in a matter of just 200 days. Worse, the experts have further warned that the in the face of the spread of what they term as the ‘’killer flu virus’’, humanity would be powerless.

Professor Robert Dingwall, who is considered an authority on flu virus, has advised people to cover their mouth when they sneeze and wash their hands to stop the virus from spreading. However, he has warned that even these measures might prove to be inadequate.

His doomsday warning has come just days after Dr. Jonathan Quick, the Chairperson of the Global Health Council, warned of a deadly flu mutation which could take place any day before becoming the deadliest pandemic in the history of mankind.

Underlining why the humanity is so vulnerable to the threat of the flu, Professor Dingwall told The Sun: ‘’Flu is very infectious and there is nothing much you can do to stop it moving about the planet.

People tried in 2009 with screening at airports but it doesn’t work because people are infectious for around four days before they get symptoms.’’

The warning of Professor Dingwall has come days after Dr. Quick warned that a global virus pandemic – which has the potential to kill 300 million people in two years, is coming.

Pointing towards a doomsday scenario, he further warned that at its extreme, the flu might cause worldwide shortage of food and medicine, causing the global economy to collapse, with looting and starvation ravaging parts of the world.

Dr. Quick further warns that it is a mutation of an avian flu that could cause the abovementioned destruction. That mutation could easily mix with influenza in wild animals – where it gets more powerful – before it reaches humans.

One such strain, which the scientists call as the “Aussie Flu’’ – because it originated in Australia, has already appeared, resulting in 40% increase in flu-related deaths in the UK and the US.

Dr. Quick warns the society from purchasing cheap meat from factory farms, which he refers to as the ‘’fetid incubators of disease’’. He credits the same farms for the birth of H1N1 swine flu in 2009, which killed more than 575,000 people worldwide.

‘’The Bachelor’’: ABC Executive Tells Why Arie Broke Up with Becca

Spoiler Alert: If you have not watched the final episode of ‘’The Bachelor’’, which aired on March 6, Monday at the ABC, this article contains spoilers.

If you have listened to the thoughtful commentary of host Chris Harrison over the years, he is always fond of saying that the finale of ‘’The Bachelor’’ is full of unexpected twists and turns.

Still, even by that standards, this week’s controversial finale had a unique ending, which has left the majority of fans in an angry mood.

On this year’s finale, which aired on Monday Night, Arie Luyendyk Jr., also known as ‘’The Bachelor’’, was engaged with Becca Kufrin after proposing her at the start of the episode.

However, over the coming two months, after the season had reached its conclusion, Luyendyk seemed to have a change of heart and decided that he made the wrong choice by engaging with Becca.

Worse, after breaking up with Becca, Luyendyk decided that he was actually in love with the runner-up Lauren Burnham, and the entire drama was caught on the reel.

The cameras of ABC followed the life of Luyendyk to exactly show the scene where he met with Kufrin to tell her that she was not the one he loved. The network decided to show the scene completely unedited, and some raw emotions were caught on camera as the couple embarked on a difficult conversation.

On Tuesday, on the “After the Final Rose’’, ABC named Kufrin as the leading lady who would play the starring role in ‘’The Bachelorette,’’ which means her journey to find love would begin yet again.

ABC Executive Reveals All

Commenting on the entire drama surrounding the breakup, as well as the decision to select Kufrin as the next Bachelorette, Robert Mills, who is the executive-in-charge of ‘’The Bachelor’’ Franchise, told Variety that he was disappointed that the show received lower ratings than the years that preceded it.

On the question as to why Arie was picked up as this season’s lead, Mills claimed that they wanted someone who was ready to leave the spotlight after the end of the season, and Arie totally fit the bill in that regard.

When asked how ABC caught the break-up moments on camera, Mills claimed that ‘it wasn’t purposeful’. Instead, he claims, a lot of the stuff was ‘’shot on iPhones’’, which lends credence to the fact that it wasn’t pre-planned.

On ABC’s decision to select Kufrin as the next Bachelorette, Mills claimed that Kufrin ‘’did a lot of thinking’’ before signing up for the show. However, at the same time, he expressed doubts as to whether Kufrin would be able to get over her past relationship with Arie to fully immerse her heart in the show.

The Shark Tank star has denied the allegation, which was published this week in an Oregon newspaper, in an email addressed to the Associated Press.

Dallas Mavericks owner and Shark Tank Star Mark Cuban has come out to deny a 2011 sexual assault allegation which was published again this week in an Oregon-based newspaper.

It is to be remembered that after the allegation surfaced in 2011, the prosecutors decided not to pursue it, citing lack of evidence to support their stance.

The report, published in Willamette Week newspaper, claims to have the inside account of what actually happened in 2011.

The women who made the accusation told the police that she met Cuban in late April 2011 at the Barrel Room, 105NW, 3rd Avenue, and asked the multi-billionaire star to pose with her for a photograph.

While they were smiling for the camera, she alleges, Mark thrust his hand down the back side of her jeans, before penetrating her vagina with his finger.

When she reported the incident to the police, the investigators prepared a 50-page police report which portrays the alleged victim as deeply upset, while Cuban remained adamant throughout the report that nothing untoward happened that night.

The women, whose name Willamette Week chose not to identify, told the newspaper, ‘’I filed the report because what he did was wrong. I stand behind that report 1,000 percent.” At the same time, she claims that she has left the incident in the past and haven’t thought much about it for the last seven years.

Although nobody apparently witnessed the incident, the Willamette Week claims that a detective claims that the Police report contains images in which Mark could be seen reaching down ‘’toward her buttocks’’.

Mark Cuban Denies the Allegation

Responding to the news, Mark sent a terse email to the Associated Press in which he claimed that the incident ‘’didn’t happen’’.

In a separate rejoinder which the Willamette Week published in their story, Cuban’s attorney has claimed that while the police interviewed the complainant’s female friend, her boyfriend, as well as patrons and employees of the bar, no one observed any inappropriate behavior on the part of Mr. Cuban.

In a bid to honor the International Women’s Day which is celebrated worldwide today, the global fast-food chain McDonald’s have turned their iconic golden arches upside down.

The arches would remain flipped throughout the day as McDonald’s shows its reverence to the achievements and accomplishments of women around the world.

According to the chief diversity officer of McDonald’s, this is the first time in the history of the brand that it has flipped its iconic arches.

Wendy Lewis, the Chief diversity officer, further revealed that McDonald’s did so to honor the extraordinary accomplishments which women are carrying everywhere, and especially in McDonald’s restaurants.

The arches are turned down at McDonald’s in Lynwood, which is the only location in the country chosen by the McDonald’s higher-ups for the logo flip.

Nicole Enrau, who along with her sister and mother, is the operator-owner of the Lynwood McDonald’s says that since everybody knows about the golden arches, flipping it makes an iconic statement.

Though the Lynwood McDonald’s is the only one to have the logo flip on its outside, there are at least 100 other McDonald’s locations over the country which would feature the flipped logo sign on placements, packaging, employee hats, and shirts.

In addition, the same inverted logo would be used throughout today on McDonald’s official Instagram and Twitter accounts. Though it is the first time that McDonald’s have taken this decision, people are of the opinion that it shouldn’t be the last.

The decision to choose Lynwood McDonald’s for this special initiative was because their employees are mostly females. For, of the 10 branches that operate in that area, 6 of them have women managers.

In addition to that iconic gesture, the official McDonald’s website is also running a campaign under which the women employees of the fast-food chain have come forward to share some of the inspirational stories from their lives.

The actress, who suffered a ghastly injury while shooting the horror pic Ghostland in Canada, has filed a lawsuit against the production company of the film.

The 20-year-old Canadian actress Taylor Hickson has filed a lawsuit against the production company of Indie horror pic Ghostland after suffering an injury which left her disfigured.

Hickson, who has also appeared in blockbuster movies like Deadpool, suffered shocking facial injuries while filming a scene of the movie in 2016 in Winnipeg.

During the scene, Hickson was to showcase herself as an emotionally charged person by smashing her fists against a door that had a glass panel in it.

However, as she smashed her fists against the door, the glass panel smashed, with one of its panes cutting across the left side of Hickson’s face. So gruesome was the injury that Hickson was immediately rushed to a nearby hospital where she received 70stitches on her face.

In an interview given to Deadline, Hickson says that after the incident, the crew-members only had napkins in their hands to hold her face together. Moreover, she maintains that despite the incident happened two years ago, she continues to feel its after effects.

Worse, she alleges that while she was busy taking up one role after another before her accident, the scars to her face have resulted in a loss of work, and income, for her as she took the whole year off to recuperate from her injuries.

The Lawsuit

The suit reads that while she was shooting the scene, director Pascal Laugier consistently told Hickson to pound harder on the glass with her fists.

In a damning account of the scene, the suit further reads that when asked to increase his strength, Hickson asked the director and the producer of whether it was safe to do so, with both of them replying in the affirmative.

Describing the lengths to which she has gone to recover, the suit states that Hickson has undergone silicone and laser treatment, but is still left with a permanent scar on the left side of her face. Furthermore, the suit claims that it is unknown whether even plastic surgery could reduce the visual aftereffects of the injury.

After a year of threats and counter allegations involving the immigration policies of the California Government, the Trump administration has made its more aggressive move till date by filing a lawsuit against the state government and its officials.

The officials of the Trump administration have repeatedly attacked the California Government and have accused the local officials of harboring dangerous criminals.

In the recently filed lawsuit, both the California Attorney General Xavier Becerra and Governor Edmund G. Brown have been named as defenders, though both have condemned the case as meritless, with the Attorney General taking to Twitter to express his displeasure with the lawsuit.

What is the Sanctuary State Bill?

The target of the lawsuit is the so-called ‘’sanctuary-state’’ bills – a law that places marked limits on how much could the local and state law enforcement agencies can go to cooperate with the federal immigration authorities.

The sanctuary state bill, which came into effect from January 1st, 2018, provides legal protection to undocumented immigrants who are living in California without any legal documentation.

Specifically, the bill bans both the state and local agencies from enforcing ‘’holds’’ on people who are in their custody. It also bars the deputation of police offers as immigration agents and also bars local and state law enforcement agencies from inquiring an individual about his immigration status.

It also prohibits the local and state agencies to enter into contracts with federal agencies with which the latter could use California’s law enforcement facilities as federal detention centers, though it allows the existing contracts to complete their duration.

Test for States

The recently filed lawsuit would test the power states have to protect immigrants from detection, particularly when the federal government is of the view that it has the sole power to determine the immigration policy.

Although these are still early days in the lawsuit, most people think that the Trump administration might want to take help from a 2012 Supreme Court decision.

The Supreme Court in that decision stopped the Arizona State Government from decreasing the number of undocumented immigrants under its jurisdiction on the grounds that states do not have the power to pursue policies that undermine federal law.

That said, the justices were only able to deliver a split decision, and refused to block the most controversial provision which arms the state police offers to inquire the immigration papers of anyone who is suspected of living in the country illegally.

As veteran gamers might tell you, the majority of online gaming communities are nothing but snake pits, which makes it all the more refreshing to note that Fire Pro Wrestling World is different.

The reputation which online gaming communities have garnered over the years is a major reason why people prefer avoiding the online multi-player mode altogether. Not only are they highly annoying, but you get to play with strangers who would get you all sort of names because they know that they are shielded by the protection provided by the virtual world.

My first true foray into online gaming communities came with the Xband during the 1990s, and it was truly awful. Apart from being called names, I was subjected to such sickening abuse that I decided to stop playing online for a long, long time. In fact, had it not been for reviewing games for a living, I might not have returned to Online gaming at all.

With such damaging experiences playing online games, it was a huge sigh of relief for me to note that the Fire Pro Wrestling World community was different. I’ve spent more than 50 hours in the game, with online bouts consuming a significant piece of that time.

The last time I played a Fire Pro game religiously was back in 2001 when the Dreamcast version had just come out. As you might guess, that was a long time ago, which means that I may have missed out on a large number of gameplay additions.

Therefore, when I switched to Fire Pro Wrestling World on my PC, I had a lot of questions. What is a Concrete Match? How to do Corner to Center attack? What is a Pro Wrestling match? As you might guess, it wasn’t days before I got answers to these questions.

It wasn’t until I used the in-game text chat that I started getting the answers to my questions. Fearful of my previous experiences, I was expecting snark and bile. Luckily, the people I found myself paired with were very eager to help me. So much so that while our conversations started with the Fire Pro, they were extended to discuss wrestling as a whole.

Buoyed by my experience, some of those kind souls have found their way into my Steam Friends list. In this way, before uploading our matches and edits to the Steam workshop, we can run and test them. And once we uploaded our edits to the Steam workshop, the response was again brilliant.

Yes, I received criticism when my Edits needed some work, however, it was nothing but constructive. On the flip side, when I managed to upload a well-made Edit, the entire community congratulated me on the effort.

Why Fire Pro Wrestling World is Different?

Looking back in hindsight, I have tried to guess what is it that makes the Fire Pro Wrestling World community so welcoming. The answer: its small but passionate fan base.

They are the people who, though small in number, want others to enjoy their game in the same way as they do. Therefore, whenever a new member like me arrives, they take his hand and lead him to the path of happiness.

Another reason which I think makes this community different is the built-in text chat. With no option of voice messages, the stranger on the other side isn’t able to guess your gender, hence the abuse which comes with gender is no longer there.

That said, I’ve indulged in other, text-only online games, and they were woeful. Therefore, once again, it is the fan base of the Fire Pro Wrestling world which makes it different in a good way.

The much anticipated ‘Run 2’ tour is a successor to the highly-popular ‘’On the Run’’ North American tour on which both Jay-Z and Beyoncé embarked on in 2014.

Just minutes after posting the ‘’official’’ date of the Run 2 tour, both Beyonce and Jay-Z retracted their statement, send their social media fans into a frenzy.

The announcement was made on Monday morning shortly after Childish Gambino announced the dates of his tour. Announcing Philadelphia’s Lincoln Financial Field to be the venue, Beyoncé’s Ticketmaster and Facebook pages announced July 30 to be the final date of the Bey/Jay tour.

However, much to the surprise of both their fans and neutrals alike, both the posts were quickly taken down, but not quickly enough for some fans to take their screenshots of the Facebook page where they were posted.

Last time the pair toured together was in 2014 when both of them went to North America for the first ‘’On the Run’’ tour. While Jay-Z supported his ‘’Magna Carta Holy Grail’’ album during the tour, Beyonce was busy promoting her very own album, which had borrowed its name from her.

Jay-Z appeared on-stage in September 2016 when Beyonce was touring New Jersey in one of the final shows of her ‘’Lemonade’’ tour. DJ Khaled played the opening act on that show, with Kendrick Lamar also making a guest appearance.

Recently, the pair has a released a video titled ‘’Family Feud’’, a song from Jay-Z’s latest album, ‘’4:44.’’ The video, which is directed by Ava DuVernay, has ‘’Godfather’’-esque clips with Jay-Z walking alongside Blue Ivy in a big church. At the same time, love scenes involving a nondescript man and woman are also seen.

Soon thereafter, Beyonce appears in the church, wearing a black outfit – with the abovementioned love scene becoming violent as the man gets stabbed in the back by his lover. Meanwhile, Jay-Z sits on what seems to be a confession booth, with Beyonce standing alongside the priest to hear his confession.

On the whole, the scene was an effort on the part of Jay-Z to showcase unity between black entertainment communities and the hip-hop culture.

With a revenue of over $821.749 million worldwide, Wonder Woman is the highest grossing superhero movie in the history of Hollywood.

When Warner Bros. released Wonder Woman in the summer of 2017, only the most optimistic of their fans could have predicted the fame the movie would charter in the coming months. The movie, which was based on the DC comic, surpassed the likes of Spider-Man and Superman, two movies which were chart-toppers before Wonder Woman came to the fore.

Still, despite the popularity which the film was able to garner – and regardless of how many times you may have watched it, there are still some details which you might have missed.

Four Eyes

Compare it to her contemporaries like Spiderman or Superman, and you’d notice that Wonder Woman hasn’t enjoyed as much airtime as some of the other superhero series. Still, despite such paucity, the 70s version of Wonder Woman remains etched in the memory of its enthusiasts.

One of the most popular tropes of the 70s Wonder Woman was the trick that if you wear a pair of glasses, you can’t be recognized. The same trick was employed by Gal Gadot in the recent movie, however, her attire was quickly called out as ridiculous by Etta Candy. About time!

Lack of subtlety

Bruce Wayne might be the richest man in the world, hence the reason why he could send his armored cars anywhere he might want. Still, one thing we might have wanted from Bruce – and which he certainly didn’t provide – was a bit of subtlety.

For instance, in Wonder Woman, Waynemobiles was the manufacturer of Justice League Cars. On each car that he assembled for the Justice League constituents, the letters ‘’JL’’ were emblazoned just below the license plate.

In normal circumstances, this might have been acceptable to us. However, for a group such as Justice League which takes part in life-threatening missions, wouldn’t you think that it would have been better had the ‘’JL’’ letters didn’t give the bad guys a clue regarding the place of origin of the superhumans?

We All Scream

Remember that scene where Gal Gadot was having a conversation with an ice cream vendor? What if we tell you that the scene wasn’t written in the same way as it was picturized?

Yes, in the starting pages of Justice League #3, while Princess Diana aka Wonder Woman is having a conversation with an ice cream vendor, the content of the conversation is different.

For, while in the movie Princess Diana was determined to hunt down Ares, she was attacked herself by Parademons in the comic book in the same scene. That the same scene aired in ‘’Justice League: War’’, an animated feature of the same comic book, further cements the fact that the movie went a bit off track than its comic version.

Black Mirror Confirms Season 5 Netflix Renewal

Although Netflix has confirmed that it would air Black Mirror for the 3rd year running, it has refused to confirm either the release date or the total episode count..

In a news that would surely please the Sci-Fi drama fans, Netflix has announced its decision to stream the 5th season of Black Mirror.

Though Black Mirror employs the same graphics which Sci-Fi movies are renowned for, its message – which conveys the dark side of technological advancement, is starkly different. Consequently, even for those fans who aren’t hardcore enthusiasts of sci-fi thrillers, Black Mirror grabs their attention.

The first two seasons of the Black Mirror series were telecast by Channel 4 in Britain. So popular did the show become that Netflix decided to air its next two seasons for the streaming giant’s worldwide audience.

As is the case with popular shows, Black Mirror has received its wide share of acclaim. The third episode of Season 4 – titled ‘’San Junipero’’ – alone won two Emmy Awards. Moreover, Rotten Tomatoes has given the show an approval rating of 92%.

The fourth season of Black Mirror focused was aired by Netflix in the closing stages of last year. Consisting of six episodes, the season explored topics like robotic dogs, dating apps, surveillance tools, as well as what the show calls Black Mirror Universe.

Still, despite Netflix’s announcement that it would air the show for the third season running, two mysteries still remain, the first of which revolves around as to when the show will come on-air.

For, while Season 4 ended in December last year, its filming had begun by this stage of 2017. Hence, while its fans would hope that the show could air at the tail end of this year, it would also join another of Netflix’s blockbusters, ‘’The League’’, in 2019.

The second mystery revolves around the number of Episodes Black Mirror would comprise of. For, one glance at the previous four seasons and one would know how unpredictable the season count of the show has been over the years.

While Season 1 consisted of only three episodes, Season 2 comprised of four, whereas both the third and fourth season aired for six shows. Therefore, it won’t be wrong for Black Mirror fans to wonder as to how long the fifth season will remain on air, once Netflix starts airing it.
