Rest for the King – LeBron James of the Los Angeles Lakers won’t play anymore this season

Lakers management along with the medical staff have come to decision that “King James” will sit out the reminder of the season (less than 10 games) in order to allow his body to fully recover.

On Christmas day game against the 2-time defending champs – The Golden State Warriors, Lebron injured his groin which led to almost 20 game absent (the longest absent of his career).

Since the Lakers were eliminated from the playoff race after a loss to the Brooklyn Nets lead-by D’lo (ex-Laker), Lebron was under minutes restriction – 32 minutes a night.

His season average for the first year in L.A are still very “Lebron-ish” – scoring 27.4 points per game collecting 8.6 rebounds and dishing out 8.2 assists.

“Magic” Johnson who is the Lakers President of Basketball Operations, and Rob Pelinka who is the Lakers General Manager announced: “After consulting with our team doctors and medical staff, we have decided to hold LeBron out of games for the remainder of the season. This decision will allow his groin to fully heal, and is best for the future success of both LeBron and the Lakers.”

In order to show support of his teammates, The King will join the team in it’s next 2-game road trip.

The Rolling Stones’ lead singer, Jagger, 75 years old, advised by his doctor to get medical treatment, therefore, the legendary band decided to postpone their tour.
No information was published regarding his status. The old superstar took care of himself in order to be able to keep performing with the Rolling Stones at the highest level.
The band posted on Twitter –


“Mick has been advised by doctors that he cannot go on tour at this time, as he needs medical treatment,” said a Twitter post on the band’s official account “The doctors have advised Mick that he is expected to make a complete recovery so that he can get back on stage as soon as possible.”

The band haven’t announced a new date yet. The original tour was scheduled to April 20th.

After firing James Gunn due to some tweets from the past, Disney gave him a second chance and brought him back to direct Guardians of the Galaxy 3.

It was all started when the commentator Mike Cernovich exposed some tweets that James wrote about 10 years ago regarding pedophilia and rape. Not long after – Disney decided to fire Gunn.

Alan Horn, Walt Disney Studios chairman, said in a statement back then:

“The offensive attitudes and statements discovered on James’ Twitter feed are indefensible and inconsistent with our studio’s values, and we have severed our business relationship with him”

The future director of Guardians of The Galaxy 3 apologized publicly for the tweets, and it seems like the way of how he handled with this saga made Disney changing their minds.

But there’s an issue that’s not being talked about – Gunn signed with Warner Bros and DC to direct the sequel to Suicide Squad. And as all the fans knows, Marvel and DC usually don’t work together.

Gunn managed to complete the writing for the third film of the franchise before being fired by Disney, and Marvel confirmed they would be using.

Guardians of the Galaxy films made more than $1.6 billion at the box office worldwide, both of was directed by Gunn.

On Friday, the pizza chain Papa John’s published that Shaq is joining to its board.

For the first time, an African American director will be in the board, and it’s not the end – Shaq invested in 9 branches in Atlanta and will be an ambassador for Papa John’s brand.

There is also good news – The stock is down 12% over the last year, but on Friday morning the shares rose by more than 5%.

Lately there was a decline in sales in North America due to issues involving John Schnatter, the founder of Papa Johns. The brand invested almost 6 million dollars last year in order to change its image in the eyes of the public – like removing its founder’s image from marketing materials.

In an agreement with Schnatter, the company and John reached to a settlement where John will help the company to find a new director that is not affiliated with himself or with Starboard Value, one of the recent investors in Papa John’s.

Shaq is a well-known investor, that owns a Krispy Kreme Doughnuts franchise in Atlanta, Big Chicken restaurant in Las Vegas, and Shaquille’s – The known fine dining restaurant Los Angeles. Moreover, he already owned 27 Five Guys franchises.

Not long after the Los Angeles Lakers were out of the playoff race, Dr. Karen Joubert, owner of Joubert Physical Therapy in Beverly Hills, shared a picture standing next to Lebron with an unexpected caption – Karen praised him for his willingness to return to action although he was suffering from pain.


“I want you all to know how bad his injury was and is, the pain he endured,” the doctor wrote in a now-deleted Instagram post. “Along with his amazing trainer, Mike Mancias, he was on the court in 6 weeks, it should have been 6 months. Unselfishly, he endured pain, pain, pain. He did not want to let the Lakers down, the fans down. But I know what he went through! I learned about determination, the will to win, how to get the job done. He is a force to be reckoned with. @kingjames @mikemancias1.”

Lebron returned to action late in January and carried the Lakers to a win over in overtime on the Clippers. James said “I am at 80 (percent) right now… it will take him a little time to get back”.

The King is still one of the most dominants players in the NBA, averaging this season a whooping 27.4 points, 8.1 assists, and 8.5 rebounds.

James Safechuck claimed he was only ten years-old the time he married Jackson (then 30) in a ceremony that was held in Michael’s bedroom and says he still has the jewelry to support this.

It wasn’t clear if Warner Bros. will cast someone else as Deadshot or just take him of the script. They even considered to replace him with completely different character from the DC universe to take part in the squad.

But apparently, they have made their mind about it. Variety reported that the British actor Idris Elba will replace the famous Will Smith for his role in Suicide Squad.

Elba, 46-year-old, who the public want to see as James Bond, met last week with James Gunn the writer and director of Suicide Squad.

Gunn is famously known for his attitude against Trump, which made him lose his job as the writer and director of the Marvel film “Guardians of the Galaxy”.

According to the report, Smith was replaced due to scheduling issues although it seems he has no films that being filmed at the same time as Suicide Squad.

Good news for the fans – it seems like Harley Quinn will be play Margot Robbie.

The first Suicide Squad film was a huge box office success, grossing $746 million worldwide.

Disney’s fans have been waiting for a long time to see a bit more from the remake of the cartoon film – Aladdin. Now after the 1st full trailer published by Disney, we got a glimpse of the Genie himself – Will Smith.

In the new trailer the fans were exposed to the Genie’s skills and some other sides of his character.

The trailer was released on the social platform Twitter captioned “A whole new world. Watch the brand-new trailer for Disney’s #Aladdin, in theatres May 24.”
Fans was excited and said –

People all over the world have been puzzled by HBO documentary – “Leaving Neverland” – that shows MJ as an abusive man, mostly for children.

This documentary launched on March 3rd, although for many weeks some info about it was published to the public.

Because of it, few stations made a decision to stop playing Michael’s music.

3 stations in Canada have decided to take out songs such as ‘Beat It’, ‘Wanna Be Starting Something’, ‘Thriller’ and ‘Billie Jean’ from their collections.

Cogeco spokeswoman Christine Dicaire claimed that this act was made due to listener requests.

In New Zealand they made the exact same decision, all the stations which owned by MediaWorks & New Zealand Media Entertainment currently banned from playing songs from one of the most influential musicians in history.

“We aren’t deciding whether Michael Jackson is guilty of paedophilia, we’re just making sure our radio stations are going to play the music people want to hear”. Said Leon Wratt, MediaWorks Group content director in an interview with radio station Magic Talk, then he continued: “You’ve got 500 songs on a playlist and you have to make the decisions which 500 are the ones people will want to listen to.”

“Leaving Neverland” containes lots of disturbing evidences but one of the most memorable one was that the King of Pop married one of the kids who’s accused him of being abusive.

Good and Bad news for Sherlock Holmes fans –

The good news – there will be a 3rd movie.

The bad news – the movie pushed to 2021.

The new Sherlock Holmes movie should have been released this year, 10-years from the first one but was pushed to 2020… and now it got pushed again… to Dec 2021.

Although it’s sad for all the fans, because the shooting of the film weren’t started yet, Warner Bros and Village Roadshow Pictures had no choice didn’t really have a choice but to delay it. Moreover, there is no director yet.

With over $1 billion at the box office for the first two films, a third movie sounds like the right thing to do but the fact that its been pushed back for the second time, makes people to worry it will be canceled.

Not all going bad for the franchise – Narcos co-creator, Chris Brancato, is reportedly working on the script for the final film.

In the last film, Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows, we understand that Sherlock committed suicide in order to keep is partner, Watson, safe. But at the last seen we see that Sherlock, Played by Robert Downey Jr., is still alive.
