It was confirmed that Tom Holland will star in the next
Spiderman movies. Holland said it will be “something very special”
and “different”. This happens after Sony and Marvel Studios (powered
by Disney) couldn’t reach an agreement regarding profit share on the Spiderman
Chris McKenna and Erik Sommers, the writes of the last
Spiderman movie “Far From Home” (which became Sony’s highest-grossing movie
ever) will return for the third movie. However, it’s still unknown if the
director, Jon Watts, will be apart of the next Spiderman movie.
Tom said – “We sat down with some of our creatives. We
pitched Spider-Man 3, which is going to be something very special, it’s going
to be something very different”. He continued -“I’m just so grateful that
Marvel changed my life and allowed my dreams to come true and Sony allowing me
to continue living my dream. It’s a crazy week and it’s never been done before
so we’ll see how it goes and it’ll be as amazing and as fun.”
Most of us know that the upcoming sequel of Spider-Man will see Tom Holland swinging in places other than New York as well.
What Holland revealed today, however, was what we didn’t know in advance; that the name of the upcoming Spiderman movie will be “Far from Home”.
Holland chose his Instagram account to reveal the name of the upcoming, where he uploaded a short video which starts with him apologizing for the lack of news on the upcoming movie.
The “Far from Home” title of the upcoming movie confirms that the film’s setting will be away from Forest Hills, Queens.
If that happens, then the upcoming movie will be the first among the Spider-Man franchise which would be set outside New York.
Rumors abound that among the many destinations which are favorite to host the upcoming movie, London is on the top of the list.
Marvel Studios and Sony’s “Spider-Man: Far From Home” will hit worldwide cinemas on July 5, 2019.
Its timing suggests that “Far From Home” will follow “Avengers 4”, as the latter opens two months before, in May 2019.
Director Jon Watts, who is returning for the sequel, confirmed last year that the movie would see Spider-Man dealing with the fallout from Infinity War. Also featuring in the movie would be Joe Gyllenhaal in the character of villain Mysterio.
It was way back in 1964 that Mysterio became a member of the Spider-Man universe.
He is known to Marvel Comics’ fans as a bubble-headed villain who uses deception and illusion to defeat his opponents. And as you might guess, the main opponent of Mysterio is none other than Spider-Man himself.
If the talks prove to be successful, Joe Gyllenhaal will play the role of the bubble-headed villain Mysterio in the sequel to ‘’Spider-Man: Homecoming’’.
According to news coming from various media outlets, Joe Gyllenhaal is in talks with Sony Pictures to play the role of Mysterio in the sequel to ‘’Spider-Man: Homecoming’’. The success of talks will see Gyllenhaal join an ever-growing list of ‘’Spider-Man’’ villains.
It was way back in 1964 that Mysterio became a part of the Spider-Man universe. He is well-renowned among Spider-Man fans as a bubble-headed villain who can defeat others with his deception and illusion. His main opponent is none other than Spider-Man himself who tries to stop Mysterio from committing crimes.
Even if talks go through as successful, it will be challenging for Gyllenhaal to take time out of his packed schedule for Spider-Man.
He is currently booked to play the leading role in this fall’s ‘’The American’’, a drama which revolves around the life of composer Leonard Bernstein. In addition to starring in the role, Gyllenhaal is also producing it alongside Riva Marker.
The Oscar-nominated star then plays another leading role in ‘’The Sisters Brothers’’, a dark comedy film based on a novel of the same name written by a Canadian author. Gyllenhaal is also playing the leading role in ‘’Wildlife’’, a Paul Dano-directed drama.
The plot details of ‘’Spider-Man: Homecoming’’ sequel, in which Gyllenhaal is rumored to play Mysterio, are still unknown as of today. However, sources say that Sony and Marvel are looking to cast a new female and male lead.
The production houses are also adamant that the male lead has to be an A-list actor. As for the female lead, she is expected to be someone in her 20s and auditions are currently ongoing for her selection.
Most fans don’t know but Gyllenhaal almost played the role of Spider-Man back in the early 2000s. Tobey Maguire, who was then playing the role of Spider-Man, injured his back between Spider-Man (2002) and Spider-Man 2 (2004).
Consequently, Gyllenhaal was considered for the role if Maguire couldn’t get back to work. Maguire, however, was able to return and Gyllenhaal’s name was brushed under the carpet.
The ‘’Avengers: Infinity War’’ star was asked by a website to choose his favorite between UK and US snack foods. His answer will surprise you.
You might have seen and loved him in his role in the Spider-Man, but you haven’t seen, yet, Tom Holland performing the toughest challenge of his life: having to choose between UK and US snack foods.
While the Brit actor has spent a lion’s share of his life back in his home country, he has been living off and on in the US of late. With this in mind, it was thought that Tom Holland is the perfect contestant when it comes to judging whether U.S. or UK snack food is better.
In addition to this, another question was put up to Tom Holland: What does he order when at Nando’s? His answer: peri-peri chips, olives, a bottomless drink, and a medium-spiced half chicken.
Tom revealed in the interview that he is a great fan of Greggs, so much so that when he was at school, he went to Greggs every single day to eat WKD and Jaffa Cakes. Fortunately, like the most of us, Tom said that he isn’t a fan of liquorice.
Thanks to the time Tom has spent back in his native country, Tom revealed that his taste buds are overwhelmingly British, as he recommended three UK snacks to only one of the US.
What’s more, despite being a person who is playing Spider-Man for almost three years now, Tom has revealed that he has no desire whatsoever of webs shooting out of his wrists.
He said in the interview whose video we posted above: “I don’t think I’m responsible enough to have the power of time, which is what I would want. I think I would just mess up everything.
“So, I’d probably go with the power of being able to control water.” Just think what Peter Parker would have to say on this.
Worried about your future? It is guaranteed to be bright as long as you are a single-player willing to spend your days in front of the television playing these highly rated upcoming games.
It won’t be a wrong to suggest that 2017 wasn’t a very good year for single-player games. Apart from the usual hits like FIFA, there wasn’t much for the single gamers to turn to last year.
Thankfully, as a mere glance at the games that will be released later this year tells us, 2018 is promised to be different. Hence, whether you play games on Xbox One, PC, PS4, Nintendo Switch or Xbox One X, these games will enrich your year.
Take a look.
State of Decay 2
Much like its predecessor, State of Decay 2 will take you to a post-apocalyptic world – one where all hell has broken loose, and you’re left with some friends to build a colony for the humans up from the ashes.
During the course of this game, you’ll not only be meeting survivors but once your help has healed them, you’ll be able to turn them into partners in your quest of building a better world. Initially, 3 cities in addition to the innumerable plot twists, are on offer to make sure you have a real-life experience playing this game.
In case the previous 2 installments of the Platinum Games Bayonetta Series weren’t able to satiate your appetite, here comes the Bayonetta 3 to whet it further. Made exclusively for Nintendo Switch, not many hints have been released about this game.
What we do know is the fact that Bayonetta would get her beehive hairdo back in this film. That, and the fact that game has some excellent graphics which are sure to live you spell bound
Yakuza 6: The Song of Life
For those of you who have tested their hands on Yakuza 0, you’d immediately realize after playing Yakuza 6 that it is in more or less in a similar vein.
There is one major difference, however, and it is that in contrast to its predecessors, Yakuza 6 has only one protagonist: namely Kazuma Kiryu. He is fresh out of prison after completing his sentence of three years and is now going to travel to Hiroshima to look for answers to questions which we don’t know yet.
Far Cry 5
You are the Sheriff in Hope County and all hell is breaking loose, this is the starting scene from Far Cry 5 in which you, the Sheriff, find yourself. You are not alone as a band of resistance fighters accompany you in your quest to restore order to Hope County.
And you are going to do it by teaming up with a dog, dogfighting into the skies and jumping into a plane – while making some explosions along the way.
If you are a fan of The Legend of Zelda Series, you’d immediately point some similarities between it and Biomutant. Just like Zelda, Biomutant is giving you a huge, unrestricted and unsafe world to explore.
That said, it is a different game as unlike Zelda, the hero of this game gets the chance to make his own destiny, and the setting of the film features anthropomorphic animals divided into various tubes.
Just when we had lost hope, Gunfire Games – may God bless them – came up with the announcement that Darksiders 3 was coming. In this episode, the baton is in the hands of Fury (War’s Sister) to decimate her foes and whip them along the way.
Judging from its trailer, we can vouch that the combat of this game is crisp, its environments look natural, and the action-adventure approach which made the predecessors of this game famous is also present.
My personal favorite, the Days Gone series lets you fight with the zombies who have held the world at ransom, while you, being the main protagonist, fighting for the lives of your fellow human beings.
The reason why With its ever-changing play-stiles, stealth mechanics, dynamic weather and tons of gory murder, this game deserves to be on your console later this year.
Detroit: Become Human
Though some people prefer to call this game as an acquired taste, the prospect of influencing the lives of people by interacting and helping them makes this game an intriguing one for me. The plot of this game contains three androids: Kara, Connor, and Markus.
At the very outset, Kara escapes the androids-making factory to discover the sentience which she has recently found. Connor’s job is to hunt down androids like Kara who deviate from the original path whereas Markus serves as the liberator whose only goal in life is to free androids like Kara from servitude.
Red Dead Redemption 2
Unless you’re a PC Gamer – in which case you might not enjoy this game, it is a must-have. It revolves around an outlaw, namely Arthur Morgan, whose only goal in life is to fight, steal and rob his way across the rough and rugged terrains of the US in his quest for survival.
As his fame grows bigger and bigger, so do the size of his enemies as they join their forces to pursue and hunt him. It seems to me that this will be the storyline of the game as Arthur can be seen in the trailer to befriend unlikely allies as he travels in the lengths and breadths of the US.
Exclusively available for PS4 users – we feel for you Xbox and PC users – this game showcases the near obsession which the Insomniac Entertainment has with lightning movement, vast open worlds and fast action in Marvel’s Spider-Man.
You’re going to see familiar characters like Wilson Fisk, Miles Morales, and yes, Mary Jane Watson in this movie. And whether or not you think that this game is QTE-heavy, its release is probably one of the bigger news of 2018.
