The Battle of L.A Just Started

0

It’s really happening, both the Los Angeles Lakers and the Los Angeles Clippers are title contenders, each team had a superstar due –

The Lakers have Anthony Davis and Lebron James, while the Clippers has Kawhi Leonard and Paul George.

How did it all happened?

Kawhi was a free agent and set up meetings with the Raptors, Lakers, and Clippers.

According to some reports, Kawhi told the Clippers that he won’t sign with them. This move let the Clippers work behind the scenes and kept the Lakers and the Raptors from doing some offseason moves.

Apparently, Paul George asked for a trade and Kawhi told the Clippers that he will sign with them if they get George.

The Clippers realized that this is their time to shine and sent 2 players and about 5 draft picks in order to acquire George from the Thunder.

Kawhi and Paul now join a team that took the Warriors to 6 game series and made the Clippers into a serious contender.

The Lakers signed lots of role players to surround Davis and James and now we will just have to see how things will turn around.

Get Ready For the 3rd Season of 13 Reasons Why

0

Season 3 of Netflix’s “13 Reasons Why” will be back this October. The show is considered as one of the most controversial shows on the giant streaming service.

The show touched some hard topics such as suicide, sexual assault, depression and more.

One of the show’s actors, Zack Prusak posted this on Twitter:

Netflix hasn’t confirmed the news yet but you can be sure the new season will be out soon.

Although Netflix got lots of bad comments regarding the content of the show, they have been very carful and put on a warning before each episode and the cast is involved in projects to increase awareness.

Brian Yorkey, the creator of the show, talked about the importance of dealing with such harsh issues: “We know that sexual assault is hugely under-reported, sexual assault with male victims is exponentially more under-reported than even sexual assault in general. And as a show that had already said we are going to tell the stories of sexual assault victims and survivors, and we’re going to tell them in a way that is unflinching and honest, we said, wow, not only does this seem a credible story to be told but in a way we felt there was an imperative to tell it. Because no-one was telling it.” He continued “That was a story that wasn’t being told, it was a story that is happening in high schools today and we felt we not only had the opportunity but the responsibility to tell it.”

The last season was about the trial of Hannah Baker’s suicide.

We will have to wait a bit more to see how things turn around.

Space Jam 2 Is in Production

0

Lebron James, one of the greatest basketball players of all time, announced on his twitter account that him and his crew are starting to film Space Jam 2.

If you are not familiar with this film – Space Jam 1 is a basketball film from 1996 starring no other than Michael Jordan. In the movie, Jordan helps Bugs Bunny and his Loony-Toons friends to win a basketball match against aliens.

In the original movie, Jordan recruited some big names like Charles Barkley, Patrick Ewing, Larry Bird, Larry Johnson and more.

According to sources in Space Jam 2, Lebron managed to recruit big names such as –

Anthony Davis, Klay Thompson, Chris Paul and Damian Lillard. The movie will be directed by Ryan Coogler, the “Black Panther” director.

Not everyone is happy with that. Basketball legend and analyst Charles Barkley, who was a part in the original movie said in an interview – “Not at all. Well, listen, I don’t care. Space Jam 1 was amazing. We don’t need 2. Space Jam 1 was a classic. I don’t like when people try to imitate something that was already good.”

Space Jam 2 is expected to hit the theaters in 2021.

Do You Think Keanu Reeves Might Become a Disney Prince?

0

After his unforgettable roles in Epic movies such as The Matrix, John Wick and Bill and Ted, and his unique sad life story, it’s safe to say that Reeve is one of the most lovable guys is Hollywood.

Moreover, apparently Reeves is also donating millions of dollars secretly for good causes, he is willing to take less money for his role in order to let other actors to shine, and he also owns a foundation for cancer research (his sister was fighting leukemia).

His fans all over the world already signed a petition online to name him Time Magazine’s 2019 Person of the Year.

One artist took it a step forward and published illustrations of Reeves as Disney Prince from some of the unforgettable Disney films.

Do you think he fits in that role as well?

Antony Davis is a Laker Now!

0

And What It Says On The Future of New Orleans?

It finally happened! After the mid season talks about sending Anthony Davis to the Los Angeles Lakers caused series chemistry problems in both organizations, it finally happened –

New Orleans sends Anthony Davis (top 10 player in the NBA) for Lonzo Ball (former no. 2 pick in the NBA draft), Brandon Ingram (former no. 2 pick in the NBA draft), Josh Hart (solid role player), The 4th pick in the 2019 draft (which New Orleans turned into multiple picks by trading a few spots back), and 3 more first round picks.

The Lakers basically gave their young core and become a championship contender -the Lakers has 1 more spot to land a superstar to play alongside Davis and Lebron James.

Davis averaged – 25.9 points, 12.0 rebounds, 3.9 assists, 1.6 steals and 2.4 blocks per game.

Lebron averaged – 27.4 points, 7.4 rebounds, 7.2 assists, 1.3 steals and 0.6 blocks per game.

And New Orleans has a very bright future now.
The also drafted Zion Williamson – the best prospect of the draft and probably the best prospect since Kevin Durant.

Lonzo and Ingram showed flashes of greatness and now has a new home to develop their craft outside the spot lights of L.A.

New Orleans also drafted 2 interesting prospects in the 8th and 17th picks (they turned the no.4 pick into those picks) – Jaxson Hayes and Nickeil Alexander-Walker.

In my opinion, both teams got what they were looking for and time will tell who got the best bargains in this trade.

The Toronto Raptors Won The NBA Championship!

0

The Toronto Raptors did the impossible and won the series 4:2 with 3 wins in Oakland.

The Golden State Warriors wanted to go for the three-peat but their best player, Kevin Durant, injured his Achilles in game 5 (didn’t play in 32 days before that game due to calf injury) and will miss the 2019-2020 season. To make things worst, Klay Thompson torn his ACL in game 6 and is about to miss 6 to 9 months.

Although it seems impossible to win in these circumstances, Steph Curry could win the game win a 3-pointer 8 seconds before the end of regulation, but missed, Draymond Green called a time out with no time out lefts, and the ball went to Toronto.

Kawhi Leonard won the MVP of the finals. Kawhi was traded to Toronto last summer, with what seems like the best trades in the past years.

Peaky Blinders’ Season 5 is Almost Completed

0

Anthony Byrne, show’s director, said the 5th season of Peaky Blinders is ‘getting closer’ to completion. He also posted this photo on Instagram –

The new member of the cast for the upcoming season, Anya Taylor-Joy, commented: “Goooooooooo Ant! Rock it man.”

The upcoming season was finished filming already in January this year.

But since then, the BBC has remained tight-lipped about when we can expect series five to appear on our screens, meaning all we know for sure is that it will be released at some point this year.

In an Instagram Q&A, Finn, who played by Harry Kirton hinted the show may returning in the next months

Saying – “Peaky is probably coming out at the other end of this year. So, September/October time. I’m very excited and you should be too. Finn has to grow up (in the new) season.”

Steven Knight, who created the show, in an interview with the Birmingham Mail in 2018, hinted: “We are going into the 30s now. There is so much stuff happening, so why not finish the job? The depression and the rise of fascism form part of the storyline. It is setting those things up. In the 30s across Europe and Britain there was the rise of fascism.”

Kyrie Irving Will Probably Move To The Brooklyn Nets

0

The amazing point guard might leave Boston and move to the Nets.

The NBA season is coming to an end (Toronto leads 2:1 over the Golden State Warriors), and with it the rumors starts spreading all over the place.

Kyrie is considered as one of the biggest free agents this summer and few reports says he already picked Brooklyn to be his next destination.

ESPN reporter Stephen A. Smith said – “I have learned that Kyrie Irving has given every indication to the Brooklyn Nets that that is where he wants to go, not the New York Knicks”

Nets all star point guard, D’angelo Russell said to The Post– “It’s the waiting game as far as chess moves have to be made. … There’s a lot of big fish out there that have to find their destinations so I think I’ll [fall in line after that] … So whenever that times comes that I have decisions to make on my own, I think I’ll be well ready for it.”

The Nets might consider pairing Russell and Kyrie in the backcourt. Kevin Boyle, who coached both guards said it will “1,000 percent” work.
