Get Ready For the 3rd Season of 13 Reasons Why

Season 3 of Netflix’s “13 Reasons Why” will be back this October. The show is considered as one of the most controversial shows on the giant streaming service.

The show touched some hard topics such as suicide, sexual assault, depression and more.

One of the show’s actors, Zack Prusak posted this on Twitter:

Netflix hasn’t confirmed the news yet but you can be sure the new season will be out soon.

Although Netflix got lots of bad comments regarding the content of the show, they have been very carful and put on a warning before each episode and the cast is involved in projects to increase awareness.

Brian Yorkey, the creator of the show, talked about the importance of dealing with such harsh issues: “We know that sexual assault is hugely under-reported, sexual assault with male victims is exponentially more under-reported than even sexual assault in general. And as a show that had already said we are going to tell the stories of sexual assault victims and survivors, and we’re going to tell them in a way that is unflinching and honest, we said, wow, not only does this seem a credible story to be told but in a way we felt there was an imperative to tell it. Because no-one was telling it.” He continued “That was a story that wasn’t being told, it was a story that is happening in high schools today and we felt we not only had the opportunity but the responsibility to tell it.”

The last season was about the trial of Hannah Baker’s suicide.

We will have to wait a bit more to see how things turn around.
