Today is the big day of the most beautiful women in the universe. Miss Universe is an annual international beauty pageant that is run by the American based Miss Universe Organization. This year Miss Philippines, Catriona Gray, was crowned the winner of the 2018 Miss Universe pageant, which was held Sunday in Bangkok, Thailand. The first runner-up is Miss South Africa, Tamaryn Green, and the second runner-up is Miss Venezuela- Sthefany Gutiérrez.

This year contest was hosted by Steve Harvey and Ashley Graham. The women, from more than 190 countries worldwide, vying for the coveted tiara participated in a number of events, including a swimsuit and evening gown presentation.

Cat’s parents expressed their full support for their daughter’s win in different ways in a quick interview to GMA news. They also said that they have believed that their daughter will bring home the crown even from the beginning of the competition. In Mr. Gray words: “Oh, fantastic. She was the chosen one”, and Mrs. Gray added: “Catriona, you did this. This is you. You’ve worked hard for this. Congratulations”. They finish in three simple words: “I love you”.
